TOUR DE BLACKHAWK
Bring a Bike, Sleeping Bag and a Tent…
We’ll do the Cooking!
June 11-12-13, 2010
|As part of Blackhawk Area Council’s celebration of 100 years of Scouting in the USA, we are bringing to you, for the first time ever, a Council Camporee on wheels. There will be options for bike riders of all levels of expertise – everything from a few miles on a bike trail, to a challenging road course, and everything in between.
The Jane Addams trail in Illinois between Freeport and the state line, along with the Badger State and Sugar River Trails in Wisconsin which connect Monroe, Monticello, Belleville, New Glarus, Albany, and Brodhead will be used, and the road course will be nearby in the Monticello area.
There will be many other cycling related events, activities, and games along with camping available in Monticello. All you need to bring is your bike, tent, and sleeping bag. You can leave your kitchen gear at home because we are doing the cooking; two breakfasts and the Saturday evening meal are included as part of the tour.
Mark your calendars, come and spend some time in the country.
